About me

Hi, I’m Kath Keiper, creator of the Chew Chew Chatter DVD series.  I have been a paediatric speech pathologist for over 10 years and I’m passionate about working with children of all abilities.

Over the years I have found the technique of video modelling to be an effective way of promoting children's communication skills. I have presented at the World Autism Congress, Speech Pathology Australia's PD events, and to the Victorian Department of Education in Melbourne Australia, where my work has been widely well received.  This led me to design this series of fun and educational DVD tools and offer them to all professionals and parents working with children in the early years.

I graduated from Latrobe University, Melbourne, Australia and am a member of Speech Pathology Australia. I work and live in Melbourne, Australia with my husband and two little girls.  I currently work at Kalparrin Early Intervention Centre (www.kalparrin.com.au) as well as managing a small private client caseload.

I love to sing and find music to be a powerful medium to engage and connect with children of all ages and abilities. I hope you and your child enjoy the Chew Chew Chatter series as much as I have enjoyed making them.
